Alicepad is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your data belongs to you and we minimize processing to what is strictly necessary to provide the service.
Alicepad processes the captures and messages you submit for AI analysis. This content passes through our API to Google Gemini over encrypted connections. We also process account information and technical and usage metrics to operate and improve the service.
Cloud AI sends the selected content to Google Gemini to generate a response. Processing and retention by Google are governed by the terms applicable to that service; Alicepad does not promise immediate deletion by third-party providers.
The desktop app can save conversation history, analysis results and settings locally on your device. Our API does not provide a server-side screenshot or conversation archive. Local protection depends on your app version and operating system. Usual app data locations include:
We use Google Gemini for cloud AI, Clerk for accounts and subscriptions, Cloudflare to host the website and API, and PostHog for product analytics. The website can collect page views and interactions and store identifiers in browser storage. Embedded YouTube videos also contact Google. The website is configured to respect the browser’s Do Not Track setting for PostHog.
